Which Size for Which Cleanout

The 15-yard, 12 by 8 by 5 feet with 2 tons included, suits a large declutter or a move in or out, roughly 100 to 120 trash bags. The 30-yard, 22 by 7.5 by 6 feet with 3 tons included and a fourteen-day window, is the one for a whole-home cleanout, holding around 200 to 220 bags.

For a single attic, basement or garage, the 10-yard is usually enough. Tell us how many rooms and what is in them and we will size it with you.

What Cannot Go in a Cleanout Dumpster

This is the list that catches people on a house cleanout. Mattresses, appliances, televisions, computers, monitors and microwaves cannot go in a Peak dumpster, and neither can paint (fully dried latex cans excepted), propane tanks, tires, batteries, aerosol cans, chemicals or any liquids. Additional fees apply if they turn up in a load.

Set those aside as you work so the container stays clean and the price stays where it was quoted.

Sorting an Estate Before It Goes in the Container

Most estates hold things worth keeping, donating or selling alongside the things that simply have to go. Having the container on site for a week or two means the family can sort at a human pace instead of against a single collection day.

Clothing, furniture and household goods in good condition are worth offering to local charities first; what is left goes straight into the roll-off.

Why Curbside Pickup Falls Short on a Cleanout

Town bulk programs are built for the odd couch, not the contents of a house. Raleigh caps a bulky load at four cubic yards and refuses construction debris, tires and several other categories. Wake Forest refuses move-outs, clean-outs and evictions entirely. Rolesville sends bulk items to the Wake County Convenience Center or a paid special pickup.

A roll-off avoids the appointment calendar, the item limits and the trips to a convenience center.

Placing the Container Without Damage

Every Peak dumpster rides on rubber wheels and is set down on pad protectors. Our smaller, lighter trucks fit driveways and tight streets that larger roll-off trucks struggle with.

Peak’s service area starts in Apex and runs out about 15 miles across Wake, Durham and Chatham counties, including Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, Garner, Holly Springs, Wake Forest and Fuquay-Varina. Addresses beyond that radius can usually be served with an added charge for the extended area.
